We’re proud to announce that two of our lawyers have been named on the 2025 Pro Bono Recognition List, celebrating legal professionals across England and Wales who have dedicated more than 25 hours of their time over the past year to pro bono legal work.
The Pro Bono Recognition List is supported by the Attorney General’s Pro Bono Committee, endorsed by the Lady Chief Justice, and backed by the Law Society, Bar Council, and all major pro bono legal organisations. It honours the meaningful contributions of individual solicitors and barristers who offer free legal services to people and communities in need.
We share the view expressed by Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill, in her message to the 2025 list:
“Pro bono is not a substitute for legal aid, but it is a valuable part of our system of justice, working alongside the advice sector.”
At its core, pro bono legal support plays a vital role in expanding access to justice—especially for marginalised and underserved communities. However, we recognise that real, lasting change depends on sustained investment in the legal aid system and structural reforms to ensure that everyone can access the legal help they need.
We’re incredibly proud of our lawyers’ commitment to social justice, and we remain dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote equity, inclusion, and access to legal support.
